Worth planning around

Most happy hours in Seattle run weekdays only, stop at six, and quietly swap in well spirits. Ours runs every day of the week for two full hours, and the drinks are the same classics we would pour you at any other time, measured and built to order.

An Old Fashioned is $12 with your choice of bourbon, rye or Oaxacan, on one big rock, and the second one is $9 if you keep the ice. Negronis are $13. House wine is $7 and Asahi is $5. The kitchen runs too, so the Tavern Burger with fries is $15 and the mac and cheese is $11.

It happens downstairs in the main bar, where the room is candlelit and unhurried well before it fills up. Come at five, take your time, and stay for dinner if the evening decides to go that way.

How it works

Downstairs at Tavern Law, walk in or reserve

Happy hour runs downstairs in the main bar and dining room. Walk in and five o'clock is the easiest time of night to find a seat. We also release a limited number of dining room tables for the 5 to 7 window, so you can lock one in if you would rather not leave it to chance, and any table not reserved stays open to walk-ins.

Needle & Thread, the reservation-only speakeasy upstairs, is a separate room with its own booking and serves its full list at regular prices. Happy hour pricing applies downstairs only.

Every day, 5 to 7 PM

Walk in downstairs, or reserve a dining room table for the 5 to 7 window.
